Humanity is the only species on planet Earth that has the ability to innovate. According to Dr. Philip Auerswald, all of our collective progress is attributed to that one, single ability. In his book The Code Economy: A Forty Thousand Year History, Dr. Auerswald examines how humanity has harnessed “code” over the centuries by observing how computer programing and automation has integrated itself within our modern economy. Dr. Auerswald explores how our economy will continue to adapt with this new focus on technology and self-reliance.

Dr. Auerswald is a professor of public policy at George Mason University and a Senior Fellow at the Kauffman Foundation. He also serves as the co-founder and co-editor of Innovations, a journal that focuses on entrepreneurial solutions to global challenges.

Join the WAC-DC and author Phillip Auerswald (@auerswald) as we discuss his book and the future of the ever evolving economy we are apart of.
