The United States has been a world power for over 75 years. During this time, the impression around the world was that the United States was an unstoppable force. The last two decades have seen that image rescind, with some wondering if we are in a post-American world. How does the rest of the world view the United States? How does this impact the ability to promote policy interests abroad?

Join the World Affairs Council-Washington, DC as we host author Suzy Hansen, author of Notes on a Foreign Country: An American Abroad in a Post-American World. Ms. Hansen is a former journalist who has written for numerous publications including the New York Times and Foreign Policy. Ms. Hansen will provide her perspective on the world’s perception of the United States from her experiences.
