a€?Greetings Members and Friends of the World Affairs Council a€“ DC:
Late last year, we had previously notified you that after 38 years in the community, the World Affairs Council - Washington, DC would be closing its doors. Our hope was that the quality programming offered by WAC-DC would continue and we have great news to report.
The mission of the World Affairs Council a€“ DC will carry on thanks to new partnerships with the National Press Club Journalism Institute and Washington Performing Arts. While the programs offered by, and between, these two highly visible, non-profits will not bear the WAC-DC moniker, please know they are committed to providing events that will educate and entertain from a global perspective.
Both organizations will soon be connecting with you to share more about how you can engage and participate in the future.
Again, we are filled with gratitude that you have been part of WAC-DC and wish you and our new partners the very best.
Matthew Shank, Ph.D.
Interim President, World Affairs Council a€“ DCa€?
