Looking back on International Education Week 2014

To kick off International Education Week, the World Affairs Council - Washington, DC and The Africa Society of the National Summit on Africa hosted a Youth Forum on Africa. High school students and their teachers joined us for a day of interactive workshops and simulations.

On November 19, our Education Staff presented on "Teaching Global Competency" as part of the online Global Education Conference.

Later that evening, Benjamin Gips of the Maret School was presented with the Council's inaugural
Future Global Leaders Scholarship in recognition of his outstanding leadership in promoting global awareness.
