Global Education Fall Internship
The World Affairs Council – Washington, DC, ‘A Leading Forum for Global Education and International Affairs', is an institution ‘Where Learning Happens’.
The World Affairs Council – Washington, DC (WAC-DC) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to expanding awareness among the American public and the international community of geo-political, business, and civil society issues in our inter-connected world.
The council is currently seeking bright, energetic interns to work on a series of projects within the Global Education Program.
Interns will be responsible for the creation and editing of online resource material for high school students and teachers.
Interns MUST have:
- Background or strong interest in global education
- Excellent written and speaking skills
- Strong computer skills: must know Excel
- Attention to detail.
This internship is open to B.A. and M.A. students as well as recent graduates.
Some of the Council’s events require long days as well as a few weekends. Interns must be able to commit to working early mornings, evenings and Saturdays.

Program Internship
Thank you for your interest in a World Affairs Council Washington DC internship. Through our Embassy Series, Foreign Policy Series, Meet the Ambassadors Series, Author Series, Distinguished Speaker Series, Young Professional Events, Town Hall meetings, and educational programs, like the Summer Institute, we are committed to improving the public’s understanding of critical issues facing the United States and the international community. Our prime location in the nation’s capital allows us to feature prominent foreign policy experts from academia, government, and the private sector.
The World Affairs Council - Washington DC is looking for bright, energetic university and graduate students with an interest in international affairs to serve as interns. The Council's internship program offers a unique opportunity to be involved in the programming and management of a nonprofit organization committed to expanding public understanding and awareness of global issues.
Interns will also help conduct and prepare for the Council's public events, including Town Hall meetings, book events and panels on contemporary international issues. Interns will also be responsible for preparing brief written reports on the Council's events.
Interns must have: background or strong interest in international affairs, education, foreign affairs; excellent written and oral communications skills; strong computer skills (Knowledge of HTML software highly desired but not mandatory); attention to detail. Since many of the World Affairs Council's public events are in the evening, international affairs interns must be able to commit to working some evening hours (6:30-8:30 pm).
